Tip 1. After opening a SQL Editor against a datasource, selecting Query > Query Options opens a dialog that lets you customize your execution environment. DBMS platform-specific options are available in areas such as performance, logging/reporting, and error handling.
Tip 2. The SQL Options Editor (File > Options) offers a number of pages that set up your development/execution environment. For example, the Code Assist tab (ISQL > Code Assist) lets you enable and configure Rapid SQL’s automated error detection and coding assistance features.
Tip 3. When you open the DDL Editor (File > New > DDL Editor), you are prompted for one of the object types supported on the currently active datasource. On selection, a script with template DDL code for the selected object opens.
Tip 4. The Code Analyst Tool (Tools > Code Analyst) helps you identify time-consuming lines of code in functions and procedures.
Tip 5. The Browse menu lets you view key properties of all objects of a selected type on the currently selected datasource.
