Embarcadero Academic Program Offers Free Software Development Tools to Students

Austin, Texas – August 25, 2016 - Embarcadero Technologies (a division of IDERA), a leading provider of software solutions for application development, today announced the launch of its new Academic Program to provide free access to the company’s award-winning application development tools for public schools and universities across the world.

“We live in an age where coding skills are increasingly important and we need a growing pool of talented developers. Embarcadero is committed to advancing this goal across the globe and already supports hundreds of classrooms with our products.”

The Embarcadero Academics Program is available to any publicly funded high school or university that achieves minimal qualifications. It comes with a standard classroom licensing package and optional licenses for student home use. The company is providing free beginners books for Delphi, as well as a variety of online materials or e-books for educational purposes. A similar package is available for C++ training using Embarcadero’s C++ Builder and RAD Studio products.

“We believe our visual coding tools are especially well-suited for learning and want to make them easily available to aspiring developers and students,” said Atanas Popov, general manager at Embarcadero. “We live in an age where coding skills are increasingly important and we need a growing pool of talented developers. Embarcadero is committed to advancing this goal across the globe and already supports hundreds of classrooms with our products.”

Embarcadero’s local offices and global network of reseller partners administer the Academic Program’s licensing and distribution processes. Click here to connect with Embarcadero on Facebook to keep up with the latest developments from students around the world.
